⚡ I just had a call on innovation with someone from BOSCH, and then with someone who brings innovation to the German Bundestag. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲.
Obvious parallels:
- both work for huge organisations
- both organisations have a hard time doing step change innovation at once and rather focus on incremental innovation to be safe
- both organisations are slowed down by middle managers who care more about their immediate benefit than the bigger picture
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲-𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀?
In their own ways both organisations have a positive outlook into the future. One is actually generating output for the economy, the other is making sure that companies have a framework to operate in.
𝗬𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆.
