⚡ Don’t build walls!
Last week I have been in a photography exihibition about the great fence on the Mexican border of the USA. The situation there is absolutely brutal, cruel, inhumane.
My key takeaway: building walls not only keeps someone outside, it also keeps the fear and paranoia inside.
Today I read a comment in the german newspaper ZEIT about building more fencing around Europe. That’s bullshit. It will makes us fall into the same trap as the Americans: we will only foster a culture of fear and paranoia in Europe.
Even more so than we already do.
Right now we have a demographic crisis: less and less children, not enough workers, social systems that are harder and harder to keep up.
We need people! Why fence them out?
